Registration is open for the 2007 Maine Chapter Annual Meeting! Camp Jordan in Ellsworth is the venue for this year’s meeting on September 28-30, allowing for a diverse mix of outdoor activities in nearby Acadia National Park. The Appalachian Mountain Club’s Maine Policy Manager, Bryan Wentzell, will present a slide show with Q&A on AMC’s Maine Woods Initiative on Thursday, June 21, 2007. The Maine Woods Initiative is AMC’s strategy for land conservation in the 100-Mile Wilderness region, addressing regional ecological and economic needs through outdoor recreation, resource protection, sustainable forestry and community partnerships.
