Greg Westrich is the author of Hiking Maine: A Guide to the State’s Greatest Hiking Adventures, amongst other shorter works, and will have two more books released in the spring. Five years ago he left his regular job to do what he loves, to hike and share it with others through his writing.

greg-westrichGreg grew up in a greenbelt community in Ohio, running free, fishing and playing in the woods , and is a strong believer in the value of unstructured time immersed in nature. When he and his wife, Ann, moved to Maine twenty years ago they came for the woods and wild and have tried to raise their children with nature as a mainstay. Some of his writing focuses on his belief in the nature deficit disorder and also on hiking with his children, Henry and Emma. His talk and slideshow will focus on the great hikes of Maine as well as hiking with children. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
