Intro to Winter at Bradbury Mountain

What more can you ask for when doing an Intro to Winter outing than a few flakes of snow in the air and temperatures just cold enough to let you know it’s winter.  With 3 AMC leaders to help out, the group was able to split up.  After a bit of review of equipment, those with more experience headed out for a hike on the Boundary Trail with Ray Cooper.  Michelle and Stan Moody helped those new to snowshoes practice a bit near the parking area.  Then they headed out on a hike and by chance met the rest of the group at the viewpoint at the top.  A few decided to head back at that point and the rest continued on a loop hike on Tote Road Trail.  It seemed everyone had a fun time and hopefully learned a bit more about winter hiking.
