Maine Chapter Seeks Award Nominations

The Maine Chapter is currently seeking nominations for its “Appie of the Year” award. The chosen recipient will be announced at the annual meeting on November 12. An Appie (or it can be two people) is recognized for her or his outstanding contributions to the growth, success and leadership of the Chapter and/or the Executive Committee specifically within the past year. The Appie of the Year receives a Maine Chapter Appie hiking stick with his/her name etched in it and a token gift. The Chapter also gives a “Lifetime Achievement” award when applicable. The criteria for this award are: The person should have contributed to the Chapter in multiple ways and/or served the Chapter in several capacities for a significant amount of time.
