Join us on Thursday, January 28 in Brunswick for two presentations on the proposed new National Park and Recreation Area on lands east of Baxter State Park. The proposal has evolved considerably in recent years and would include donated lands owned by Elliotsville Plantation, Inc. (EPI). Lucas St. Clair from EPI, the primary proponent of the park and current owner of lands in this area, will present the concept and be available for questions and answers following the presentations. AMC has not taken a formal position on the park. The presentation seeks to inform AMC members on the details of the park proposal and solicit feedback from members which will be considered in developing a formal position on the National Park concept. This event will be held at the Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant Street, Brunswick, Maine on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Optional potluck at 6:00 PM, followed by the presentation at 7:00 PM. To join in on the potluck fun, please bring a food item to share and help us be green and bring your own plate, utensils and cup. The talk is free and open to the public. FMI contact: Lisa Pengel.
