Maine’s Ice Age Trail Downeast with Dr. Harold Borns of the Climate Change Institute:

Hal’s resume includes an academic career of 50 years and counting as a glacial geologist at UMO. For 28 seasons he led students to research glaciers in Antarctica. Back in Maine and spurred on by this research, Hal brought together researchers in other fields, founded and became the first director of what is now, The Climate Change Institute. Hal will present a perspective of the Ice Age, evidence that we are still in it and question what of the near future. In this context he will discuss “Maine’s Ice Age Trail: Down East, Map and Guide” and the significance of the glacial record that it traverses.
