There was beautiful mild weather for the fourteen great hikers that went to Carter Notch Hut. Had great meals with home made beef stew and biscuits with blueberry cobbler for dessert for dinner and egg omelet and bacon with jelly muffins for breakfast, thanks to our wonderful cook Ginny Smith. Saturday afternoon a few people hiked and some stayed at the hut and took it easy. Sunday Morning some wanted to get back early and a few of us went up Carter Dome. Hawk had three pairs of ice skates at the hut so some went ice skating on Carter Pond. A good time was had by all.
