Started out from the Ammonoosuc Ravine trailhead at about 8am, with the rain showers ending as we started up the trail. Wet rocks and slippery roots made for tricky footing all the way up. There was solid cloud cover and fog, and gusty winds as we approached the Lake Of The Clouds hut. After lunch, we decided to tackle the summit of Munroe even though it was obscured by clouds and fog. On the way down from Little Munroe, the cloud cover started to dissipate and we had a beautiful hike down the ridge to Eisenhower. The views from the summit were 360 degrees and spectacular - I never get tired of seeing the White Mountains from the Presidential summits. We descended back down to the col, and quickly descended the Edmands Path. This was a fun hike - all of the steep section is on the way up to the hut, after that it is fairly easy.
