Tried to cross the south branch of the Carrabassett river but water was too high, could not find a place to cross. There's no pay phone at the store at the entrance to Sugarloaf Mountain ski area, the nearest one is 5 miles south of Sugarloaf or up at the Mountain. If anything is open up there - nothing open on sunday when I was there at 9am.

The caribou valley road has some wash out, I made it out OK with my truck - a car might botton out there. Other than that the road was dry an you could go 20 mph on the road
