Maine By Foot-1
For the past five years, Rebecca Goldfine, of West Bath, has been building an online guide to Maine’s trails. She decided early on that because the Internet is so open and easy to use, she would use the web as her publishing platform. Starting in the Midcoast region and gradually working her way farther afield, Rebecca has been hunting down public trails to hike and photograph. Along the way, she has discovered some incredibly beautiful places, and is excited to share information about them. She has also developed a greater appreciation for the many conservation organizations around the state that help keep Maine relatively undeveloped. Please join us on Wednesday October 5 for an evening talking about local trails, Maine, its conserved lands, mapmaking, and the wonderful way the Internet is making it possible for people to better know the natural areas around them. Presentation starts at 7pm at the Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick. Optional potluck dinner will start at 6pm (please bring a dish to share – help us be green and bring your own cup, plates and silverware). Doors open at 5:30pm. For more information, download a flyer or contact Michelle Moody.
