Presentation: The 1940 National Whitewater Canoe and Kayak Championship in Maine with Zip Kellogg

ZIP Kellogg, renowned author and canoeist, will present on Wednesday, June 1, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm a 20 minute film from the 1940 National Whitewater Championship which was held on the Rapid River in western Maine. He searched for the film over the course of 30 years and finally found it through a twist of fate. You can see the techniques, equipment, the flips and swims (if they were different) from that era and hear the story behind the film.
