How does walking the Appalachian, Pacific Crest, and Continental Divide Trails change one’s life? Can you do something crazy and bold? Please join us on Wednesday, September 17 with Lincolnville’s “Uncle Tom” Jamrog for a talk and photo demo about his experiences, both high and low, on America’s storied National Scenic Trails. Topics covered will include: How a “seasoned individual” physically trains for a thru-hike, tools and resources to get you started, special considerations, as well as tips and tricks to hike further, and taking the thru-hiking lessons back to the “shower world”.

This event will be held at the Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant Street, Brunswick. Optional potluck at 6:00 PM, followed by the presentation at 7:00 PM. To join in on the potluck fun, please bring a food item to share, along with your own plate and utensils. The talk is free and open to the public. FMI email: Lisa Pengel.
