Public Hearings; Governor’s Task Force on Public Lands

The Governor’s Task Force on access to public lands and easements is holding two listening sessions: November 27 in Bangor at the Bangor Motor Inn, and November 28 in South Portland at the Community Recreation Center. Both meetings are scheduled for 6:30 – 8:30 PM.
Specifically, the Task Force wants to hear from you about:

° What is going well and not so well on our public lands?

° What types of activities would you like to see offered or provided at our public lands?

° What is missing from our public lands?

° What more could we do, how could we better manage public land?

° What should the State’s public land management priorities be?

° Ideas for addressing conflicts between different user groups regarding priorities or uses of public lands.

Public comment is invited through attendance at a hearing or submitted in writing.
