Support for “Take It Outside!”

Governor John Baldacci’s Take It Outside initiative has received strong endorsements from three key stewards of Maine’s outdoor activities:  Pat McGowan, Commissioner of the Maine Department of Conservation; Jensen Bissell, Director of Baxter State Park, and Sheridan Steele, Superintendent of Acadia National Park.  Take It Outside is intended to encourage outdoor recreation in all Mainers by providing opportunities to connect with nature, enjoy the recreational opportunities in Maine, and develop healthy lifestyles.
