Winter Outings Workshop in Brunswick

Please join experienced winter leaders Peter Broderick and Laura Flight on Saturday December 13 for an introduction to clothing, gear, snow travel, and taking care of your self in the winter in outdoor settings. Learn to stay warm, dry and functional. There will be a morning indoor session, followed by a pot-luck lunch, and an optional outdoor session in the afternoon. This event is intended as an introduction course for experienced three-season hikers and a refresher for experienced winter adventurers. Although the focus of the workshop is on winter hiking, many of the topics will be an excellent “things-you-need-to-know-before-you-go” for anyone who will be spending time out-of-doors this winter.
