Join us on Tuesday, February 3 as Claire Polfus of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, shares a “behind the scenes on the A.T.” presentation! Maine’s section of the Appalachian Trail is the most rugged and remote of the 2,185 mile trail and it is also many hikers’ favorite. Take a look behind on the scenes at the ecology, management and challenges of the A.T. in Maine. Claire Polfus is the Conservation Resources Manager for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy in Farmington, Maine. Her work covers everything to do with A.T. in Maine, from natural resource management to project planning to community outreach. In her spare time she heads right back to the mountains on foot, bike or ski preferably with friends and dogs in tow. This event will be held at the Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant Street, Brunswick starting at 7:00 PM. The talk is free and open to the public. FMI contact: Lisa Pengel
